| Formed just before the 1955 GE, it comprised largely of the Mandarin-speaking bourgeois, many who were members of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Immediately, it became one of the two largest parties, along with PP, before the growth of LF and PAP. A year later, it combined with PP to form an even bigger LSP and was wounded up. |
