Parti Cinta Malaysia
Love Malaysia Party
Founded: 8 June 2009
Set up by disenfranchised leaders of MCA, Gerakan and SPDP, it was decimated in the Sarawak state election in 2011 and Malaysia General Election in 2013. The most prominent face of the party is Huan Cheng Guan, a former Gerakan member. Believed to have joined Gagasan Sejahtera (Harmony Concept) comprising PAS, Berjasa and Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (Malaysia National Alliance Party), it was later revealed that PCM was merely the coalition's strategic partner. Huan retired after contesting the Malaysia General Election of 2018, saying he was opposed to DAP chief Lim Guan Eng and was satisfied with Chow Kon Yeow as his replacement for the Penang Chief Minister post when Lim became the country's Finance Minister.
